3. Content Guidelines & Standards

As a diverse multi-author platform, DevToolDirectory celebrates varied perspectives and innovative ideas. However, all published content must strictly adhere to our community standards:

  • No illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or offensive material
  • No plagiarized or copyrighted content without proper attribution, permissions, or fair use compliance
  • No spam, misleading information, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive practices
  • No content promoting discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups
  • No explicit or adult content without appropriate age restrictions, warnings, and compliance with applicable laws
  • No misinformation or deliberately false content that could harm public discourse or individual well-being

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these guidelines. Repeat violations may result in account suspension, revenue forfeiture, or permanent termination.

4. Revenue Sharing Program

DevToolDirectory operates as a creator-first revenue sharing platform. We believe content creators deserve the majority of revenue generated from their hard work and creativity.

Our revenue sharing model allocates 70% of all monetized revenue directly to content authors, while DevToolDirectory retains 30% as a platform maintenance and development fee. This industry-leading split ensures creators are fairly compensated for their contributions.

Revenue Sources Include:

  • Display Advertising: Programmatic ads, banner placements, and contextual advertising integrated into your content
  • Affiliate Marketing: Commission-based partnerships with relevant brands and services through trackable affiliate links
  • Sponsored Content: Brand collaborations, product reviews, and promotional partnerships clearly disclosed to readers
  • Premium Subscriptions: Reader subscriptions for exclusive content, early access, and enhanced features
  • Tip Jar & Donations: Direct reader support through integrated payment systems

Revenue calculations are transparent and updated in real-time through your creator dashboard. Payments are processed monthly with detailed analytics and performance insights.

5. Advertising & Monetization Policy

DevToolDirectory partners with premium advertising networks and brand sponsors to maximize revenue opportunities for our creators. All advertisements and sponsored content must:

  • Not interfere with user experience, platform functionality, or content readability
  • Meet legal requirements for advertising disclosure in applicable jurisdictions
